Thank you to everyone who planned and worked the quilt show! Congratulations to all the quilters who had quilts hanging in the show and especially to the ribbon winners! It’s always amazing to see the wide variety of creativity.

Our beautiful raffle quilt was won by Tammy Wallace of Durand, IL.

Scavenger hunt winners were Norma Copes (Saturday) and Gracie Harkness (Sunday).

Quilt Show registration forms are due NO LATER than April 6th. Turn your form in at the afternoon or evening guild meeting or mail to Robin Gausebeck. Remember, your quilt does not need to be finished by April 6th, but the picture you include with the registration form needs to identify the quilt by color and pattern. Click HERE to download and print the form.

Cheap Trick challenge quilts are also due on April 6th. Turn your quilt into Cindy Larsen at the afternoon or evening meeting. If you will not be at the meeting, please call Cindy to arrange for drop off/pick up.

We have several quilt show volunteer slots left to fill. Most shifts are 2 hours and there are many sit-down jobs if you can’t stand for long periods. Sign up at the April 6th guild meeting or contact Colleen Magee.

The quilt show committee had a meeting last night and we are all concerned about the lack of registrations for the show. Currently, Robin and Karen have about 50 registrations and the deadline for registrations is only a couple of weeks away (April 6th). We need more quilts registered for our show!! If every member put two quilts in the show, we would have a wonderful and exciting show! Please get your registrations in at the earliest convenience! It is a lot of work to get the data all prepped. This show provides the funds we need for our activities for the next two years. So, if you haven’t picked out quilts for the show yet, please reconsider and get them entered! We especially need quilts to be judged. Thank you for all that you do and for entering your quilts!

The last day to bring your silent auction and boutique items for the quilt show will be at the March 2nd sew-in at Bethesda Covenant Church. Barb will not be there, but Marie Tovo will be collecting these items for her. Please be thinking about potential advertisers for our program booklet this year. Marie will have advertising information for you to hand out at the March sew-in also.

Quilters, we are in desperate need of volunteers to sign up for positions at the quilt show.  There are a total of 274 volunteer positions available over the 5 days from April 29th to May 3rd.  So far we have about 120 positions filled and about 150 positions left to be filled. We have about 200 members. If everyone signed up for 1-2 positions, we would have everything covered. We have several “sit-down” positions for those of you who aren’t able to stand for a long time. Most shifts are for 2 hours. Volunteering at the Quilt Show is fun and you get in to the show for free on the day you work. If you work Wed., Thurs., or Fri., you can get in free on the day of your choice. The income from the show makes up 50% of our budget, so it’s important that we all do our part to make this show a success, plus it’s lots of fun.  Please call or email me with your choice.

Last call for quilts for the quilt show! Gail Quast will be at the April 2nd evening meeting from 6–7 pm to collect entry forms. You may drop them off anytime during the day during the sew-in. Please remember to include your check payable to Sinnissippi Quilters if you are having any quilts judged – please, no cash. If you have all of your information ready, you may also mail everything, ensuring you get it in on time. Due to the late deadline, there will be no late entries accepted.
