Littlest Angel

At the April 2011 meeting, Winnebago County Coroner Sue Fiduccia spoke about the need for tiny quilts to be available at the Coroner’s office so that when baby’s bodies are released by the Coroner, the body can be transferred in one of these “comfort” quilts. Sizes needed are: 18”x18”, 12”x12”, 24”x24” and even up to 36”x36”. Quilts should be either pink or blue. Flannel can be used for these quilts. No batting is needed—only a top and backing. Carol Folkerts will be collecting the quilts.

  1. We could use some larger than stated as we have older children taking their own lives. A 2 yd piece of fabric backed by another 2 yds and pillowcased style closed with some simple quilting is sufficient. Thank YOU and Thank YOU again.
