Sewing Supplies:
Needles - #10 quilting and/or #10 sharps
Pins - small for applique (3/4" sequin pins, if possible); large for
holding several layers together; safety pins for basting
Scissors - sewing (small and large); paper scissors for template material
Thimble
Thread - regular for applique to match selected fabrics; quilting for piecing
and quilting
Masking or transparent tape
Template material
Ruler
Marking pens or pencils for dark and light fabrics
Small zipper plstic bags to hold templates

QUILT WORKSHOP SUPPLIES:
If you would like to plan a quilt:
Graph paper
Paper glue stick or scotch tape
Tweezers for handling small squares of paper
For applique
blocks:
Background fabric - One 18" square plain fabric (100% cotton or poly-cotton
blend) for one block
Leaves - 4 to 6 100% cotton squares of compatible green fabrics in several
value levels. Monochromatic greens are best, however, they may be a combination
of prints and plains.
Flowers - select two compatible flower colors, i.e. pink and red, or lavender
and purple, or yellow and orange. Bring 100 % cotton 9" squares of several
values (light, light medium, medium, dark medium and dark) of EACH COLOR SELECTED.
These may be all prints or combinations of prints and plains.
